The ex-wife of University of Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearl, Kim Shrigley has taken the money that she got in the recent divorce from Pearl and put it to good uses. Namely, Shrigley recently opened up a salon in the Knoxville area and named it Alimony’s, according to Knoxnews.com. That’s a nice kick in the junk to Pearl. I’m sure he loves the name and doesn’t want to commit any harm to his wife. Still not as good as Kenny Anderson’s ex-wife, and veteran of the MTV Real World’s Tammy, who license plate now reads “hiscash”. Oh, and for all you old bags collecting on your ex-husband’s money, because you ladies deserve it so much, you get a %15 discount at Shrigley’s salon if you collect alimony. And how could I write a story about Bruce Pearl without showing his greatest hits, here, here, here and my favorite right here. More fromKnoxnews:
She funded the new business with money from her divorce from Bruce Pearl, the University of Tennessee men’s basketball coach.
The name is aggressive, Shrigley said. But, “It’s mine.”
She acknowledged that people will likely associate her with her marriage to and divorce from Pearl. Her former husband, who will earn $1.6 million this season as coach of the men’s basketball team, filed for divorce in September 2007.
But “If I can turn that negative into a positive, I can use that for a little while,” she said.
A 15 percent discount is offered to clients who receive alimony. No divorce papers are needed for proof, she said.

The defensive system that made Bob Knight so famous at Army, Indiana, and Texas Tech, apparently doesn’t run in the family. Knight’s son, Pat, who took over the team last season for his father set the Texas Tech school record for points last night with a 167-115 victory over East Central. They weren’t exactly playing North Carolina. The combined 283 points was also a school record, something that certainly wouldn’t be seen under the Bob Knight era. Daddy Knight certainly can’t be happy with the lack of defensive play under his son. Defense was Knight’s M.O., and in a tough Big 12, if Texas Tech is giving up 115 points to East Central, god knows what the score will be when they play Oklahoma or Texas.

Hopefully, this isn’t the last time I see Erin Andrews on her knees. Oh! I’ll be here all week.

The Golden-Globe award winner, obviously took the 77-58 shackling that North Carolina gave to Kentucky last night very hard, either that or she is extremely constipated. The native of Kentucky, and the Universities number one basketball fan could be in for a long season yet again. The team has started off the season 0-2, and the Billy Gillispie era looks like it maybe shorter than the Presidency of William Henry Harrison.

I’ve heard that condoms are a premium at college, so much so that Malik Alvin a Binghamton University basketball player, definitely need himself a bunch of prophylactics. As this picture may falsely show, Alvin might not have the money he tries to show you that he has. How come you ask ? Well, according to Pressconnects.com, Alvin was arrested at Wal-Mart because he took a box of 36 condoms without paying for them. Is that wrong ? In the future Mr. Alvin, if you wanna portray yourself on the web as having money, don’t get caught stealing condoms. Cars or white-women are acceptable, just not something that costs under $24.99. More from Pressconnects.com:
Malik Alvin, 20, was confronted by Wal-Mart security just after 2 p.m. Oct. 26 when officers said he took the contents of a box of 36 condoms without paying for them and attempted to leave the Vestal store, court documents say.
Alvin, a junior and newcomer to the BU team, eluded store security, but while on the run, collided in the store’s foyer with a 66-year-old customer, knocking her to the floor; she sustained a concussion, Vestal town court documents indicate.
