Move Over Red Sox, We Got Some New Pink Jersey’s In Town

It’s called Bruins. That’s how it suppose to go right ? Well, with the Bruins (17-4-4) off to a white-hot start the inevitable pink jersey’s and hat sales  come with it. The problem is the Bruins don’t exactly know their fan base too well. The Bruins have plenty of fans who pee sitting down. The problem is, that these North Shore chicks, yeah that’s what they are, they want to wear the authentic Marc Savard jersey’s, or some throwback Don Sweeney, or Craig Janney jersey. Not a pink one. These aren’t Red Sox fans. Bruins fans are about as die-hard as they come and they need to be. They have had very little too cheer about in the last 15 years. These aren’t your fake female Red Sox fans, who begam watching the Sox in the fall of 2004. They won’t be buying any pink jersey’s. I mean, have you seen them ? They look like John Goodman with long hair.

Don’t Call Milan Lucic A Hunchback

Posted by Mike on December 4, 2008

article_13991_2

This story is a bit old, but with the Boston Bruins playing well, and Milan Lucic leading the team, I thought people might like to revisit this famous Lucic story. When Lucic was 15-years-old he went through a growth spurt, and in that spurt brought really bad posture. Lucic was unable to straighten his back. So, eventually he went to see a doctor and he was diagnosed with Scheuermann’s disease, a condition that causes the upper back to curve. With his new conditon brought on taunts by the opposing teams, something that Lucic didn’t take to kindly too. So when Kyle Beach ( who was drafted 11th overall in the NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks) made a hunchback like pose to Lucic, he didn’t think twice about showing off his fighting skills. From the Boston Globe:

The condition didn’t affect his play until some opponents started to notice his back. Two years ago, Everett forward Kyle Beach shrugged his shoulders at Lucic in a hunchback style. The enraged Bruins prospect chased Beach, and several games later beat him up.

Last season, Kamloops defenseman Ryan Bender called Lucic a hunchback during a game and was slapped with a game misconduct, which was later changed to a 10-minute misconduct.

“You don’t like to see that,” Lucic said. “You hope guys are classier than that. But guys who do that have it coming to them. You just take care of it.”

New England 2 Buffalo 0

It was a weekend slated to be the city of Buffalo versus the New England area. The series was kicked off Saturday night when the Boston Bruins took on the Buffalo Sabres. It was a key game for the Bruins since if they won, they would be in first place. The Bruins did not disappoint as they won’t onto a 3-1 win ans secured first place for at least the night. Then on Sunday afternoon, the New England Patriots took on division rival Buffal Bills in a huge game for a share of first-place. The game was never in doubt, as the Patriots took it took the Bills from the first series to the last, as they dominated the Trent Edwards led Bills to a 20-10 victory. The game was never as close as the score may have indicated. The Bills got a garbage time touchdown, but for most of the game we unable to move the ball on the Patriots defense. The only loss for the Patriots, was the broken arm that outside linebacker Adalius Thomas suffered. The broken arm will cost Thomas the rest of the season. The huge hole vacated by Thomas will most likely be filled by third-year pro Pierre Woods. The never-ending season of injuries continues for the Patriots, but in true Patriots fashion, someone steps up, and the winning continues. This week’s victim looks to be New York again, as the Patriots take on the Jets Thursday night, and the Bruins playing the Rangers in New York.

Bruins Hockey

Posted by Mike on October 23, 2008

It’s hockey season and the Bruins are playing the Maple Leafs tonight. The Bruins have had a couple of tough losses in shoot outs, but look much improved than last year. With each passing year hockey is getting better and better, we just need ESPN to get back and cover it. Here is a little video to get ready for tonight. Let’s go Bruins!!!

Who Ya Got ? Steve Buckhantz Or Jack Edwards

Posted by Mike on October 23, 2008

Steve Buckhantz is the play-by-play announcer for the Washington Wizards, and Jack Edwards is the play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins. It’a bit of a toss-up, but Jack Edwards makes Gus Johnson seem subdued. We gotta go with Jack.

Dick-Lick Reilly Follow Up

Posted by Mike on September 16, 2008

Mike, said alot about his shitbag, I would like to say a few things as well. What is up with shit-stain ESPN writers talking about or bringing up racism when talking about Boston ? How soon we forget that the Celtics were the first team to have an all black starting five and the first black head coach.  Does this race shit go back to baseball when the Red Sox could have had Jackie Robinson but they decided not to take him… The Red Sox were not the only team that passed up on him.  Anyway I just hate that writers for ESPN talk shit about Boston.  Unintentional or not it is disrespectful to call the best sports city in the country racist. Racist is going to an English soccer game and having fans throw bananas at black players. I do not believe that has happened at a Boston sporting event.  The moron in his shit article talked about the fading racism in Boston, its nice for that idiot to think even though he probably has spent more time  writing that article than in Boston. He also was kind enough to point out that the Patriots don’t play in Boston, nice observation dick-lick. How about his The Giants and Jets don’t play in New York, I think they play in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Oh ya and the Yankees play in the Bronx, and the Mets play in Queens… What point are you trying to make?  The only teams that play in NYC are the Knicks who suck and the Rangers. So if he were trying to pick a team that rules your city than NY has to chose between the Knicks and Rangers because they play in the city. I think the Bronx and Queens are separate cities in the state of New York, just like Foxborough and Boston are in Massachusetts.  Anyway Rick Reilly is an idiot and his articles suck and do not make sense… Also I am convinced ESPN hates Boston.. Thank you for reading, your comments are always welcome. Don’t expect to talk trash about my sports teams without getting shit on yourself.
