Yankees Loss Is Red Sox Gain

The New York Yankees didn’t want Uncle Junior, otherwise known as Dominic Chianese, to sing the national anthem at their ballpark, so what did Junior do ? He has signed on to sing the national anthem on Saturday, at Fenway Park according to Page Six. That’s right, on the day the Red Sox with retire the #6 of Johnny Pesky, the crowd will also be serenaded by the beautiful voice of New York born and bred, Uncle Junior. This is just another side-note to the chance that each team has of sticking it to the other. More from Page Six:

REJECTED by his beloved Yankees, “Sopranos” star Dominic Chianesehas found a surprising venue to sing the national anthem – Boston’s Fenway Park. Uncle Junior has finalized a deal to sing tomorrow when the Red Sox face the Bronx Bombers in the year’s penultimate regular-season game. Chianese turned to the Sox after the Yankees said “thanks, but no thanks” to his offer to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before one of the team’s final games in the old Yankee Stadium.
