The other day it was reported that Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were both sent home from the NBA’s Rookie Program, because they broke the rules of having women and their room’s and oh yeah having pot with them too. Now comes the rumor that Michael Beasley may have been in the room as well, but the new member of the Miami Heat locked himself in the bathroom and refused to open the door. Sounds like Beasley is transitioning to the NBA life pretty well. Before the NBA Draft there were questions about the maturity of the Kansas State star, but most observers felt those questions were squashed with his performance this past season. I’m think there just maybe a few more questions yet to be answered. One thing is for sure, he’s gonna love South Beach.

Bill Self Must Be Proud
Posted by Mike on September 4, 2008
Two former members of the University of Kansas Basketball team, Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were both thrown out of the NBA’s Rookie Transition program for having marijuana and women in their rooms according to ESPN. Coming off a National Championship, each of the two were both expected to be high to mid-first round picks in the NBA Draft, and each of them slide, Arthur to #27 and Chalmers all the way into the second round. Maybe the NBA executives knew alittle bit more about these two then they Draft analysts did. Kansas coach Bill Self must love the example his two former players are setting in the NBA:
March Madness heroes Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were thrown out of the NBA’s rookie transition program on Wednesday morning after being caught in their hotel room with marijuana and women, according to several sources.
“The players were sent home for violating program rules,” NBA spokesman Tim Frank said. “They will be appropriately sanctioned and will have to repeat the program next year.”
Sources said Chalmers and Arthur, who starred on the Kansas Jayhawks’ 2008 NCAA championship team, were also fined $20,000 apiece and could start the regular season on the suspended list. But NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre would not confirm that.

Alexis Miller Asks Shaq How Her Ass Tastes
Posted by Mike on August 27, 2008
So much for getting back with his wife, now reports come that Shaquille O’ Neal has had a restraining order filed against him by Alexis Miller, who goes by the rap name Maryjane. With a name like that she must be a classy gal and drug free too. Now, how does your ass taste Shaq ? The 7-footer with a reported fondness for white-women has reportedly reconciled with his wife Shaunie. Just think of all the money that Shaq is saving by not divorcing his wife. It must be at the very least $75 Million Dollars. Now that is a smart business moves. NBCSports goes on to write:
Hip hop artist Maryjane, whose real name is Alexis Miller, has been granted a temporary restraining order against Shaquille O’Neal, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Miller filed the restraining order in Atlanta, accusing O’Neal of stalking her, threatening her with bodily harm and making harassing phone calls.
The newspaper reported that the 23-year-old Miller claimed she ended a relationship with the 36-year-old O’Neal last month. She says he then threatened to pay performers $50,000 each not to work with her.

Great Investment Stephon
Posted by Mike on August 27, 2008
At a time when we are in an Oil crisis and air fares are at an extreme high, wouldn’t it be a terrific time to buy your own private jet ? No wonder over 60% of all NBA Players go broke after being out of the league for five years. The man who owns the shoe company “Starbury” a shoe line made so everybody can afford sneakers, just plunked down $45 Million dollars to buy his own private jet according to Page Six:
MAYBE Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury should have consulted Sean Combs before he bought himself a private jet. Marbury - in the last year of his Knicks contract, which will pay him another $21 million - is said to have plunked down about $45 million for the aircraft. But Combs, who already owns a jet, isn’t using it because fuel costs have skyrocketed. The hip-hop mogul explains on Diddy Blog No. 12, which he videotaped in an airline terminal before boarding a commercial flight, “Gas prices are too mother[bleep]ing high,” Combs says, wearing an off-kilter Yankees cap. “I’ve been flying back and forth to LA pursuing my acting career. If I fly back and forth twice a month, that’s like $250,000 round trip. [Bleep] that! I’m back on American Airlines now . . . and I’m in coach!”

Jason Kidd Must Owe Money To The Wynn Casino
Posted by Mike on August 26, 2008

We have seen in the past few months how the Wynn Casino has sued both Joe Francis and Charles Barkley, over money they owed the casino. Yesterday came word that current Dallas Maverick, and recent Gold Medal winner, Jason Kidd is going to give his Gold Medal to the wife of Steve Wynn the owner of the Wynn Casino. There has to be more to this story than Kidd and Elaine Wynn being just “good friends”. Either Kidd owes the casino some serious loot, or the Wynn’s bought the gold medal off of Kidd for some serious pocket change. Money is no object for the Wynn family, Steve once accidentally poked a hole in his $139 Million dollar Pablo Picasso painting. The Las Vegas Review Journal writes:
Kidd promised Elaine Wynn, wife of casino mogul Steve Wynn, that he would give her his newest Olympic medal if the Americans fulfill the redeem dream.
“It’s not a (gambling) marker or anything like that,” Kidd told The Arizona Republic. “She’s just a great friend and a really great person.”
They met last year when Kidd and the USA team stayed at the Wynn while training in Las Vegas.
“Last summer, we stayed at the Wynn for (what seemed like) a lifetime, close to three weeks,” Kidd said. “We met at a banquet, we got to talking, and she really understands the game.
“I told her I’d make a deal with her, that if we won the gold medal, I’d give it to her. She thought I was kidding. But I told her I had one already, and the way they treated us at the Wynn, it was the least I could do.”

Must See TV
Posted by Mike on August 21, 2008
If you have ever wanted to get a better look at Charles Barkley’s ass, now you can. The man with perhaps the worst golf swing in the history of the sport will have a colonoscopy on TV, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Not sure if the American audience is ready to see the “round mound of rebounds” inner most parts, but I for one will be sure to watch. Also in the running for former athletes medical procedures to be televised will be Shawn Kemp getting a vasectomy:
TNT NBA analyst Charles Barkley has seemingly been in the news all summer.
In May, the former NBA star was involved in a gambling debt controversy involving the Wynn Casino, and recently, he’s been in the news for a reality show on The Golf Channel that will attempt to fix his notoriously bad golf swing.
Now, Barkley is gaining more exposure than ever before.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Barkley will apparently have a televised colonoscopy as part of the upcoming Stand Up to Cancer event that will be simulcast on CBS, NBC and ABC.
Barkley, who will undergo the procedure on Friday, was reportedly “happy to participate in promoting awareness for colonoscopies.”

No Hablo Ingles
Posted by Mike on August 20, 2008
And people think the French are wimps. Try the Spanish Basketball team, especially one Juan Carlos Navarro, who refused to answer questions after the Americans butt-whipping, and when Boston Globe writer Marc Spears finally got a hold of Navarro he said ”my English not very good”. I really hope Paul Gasol and the rest of those racist Spaniards go down quicker than Clay Aiken at a gay bar:
But Spain guard Juan Carlos Navarro, formerly of the Memphis Grizzlies, did come out to talk to the Spanish media for about five minutes in the mixed zone interview area. After he was done with his home country folks, I asked him a question. He responded by saying, “My English not very good.”
I told him, “Well, it was really good when you were playing for the Grizzlies. I interviewed you once by your locker.”
Navarro was stunned when I called him out and I could see that he understood every word. If they beat the Americans, I’m sure his English would have been better than mine.
