So much for the Tommy Hilfiger ad’s for Jon Fitch. The UFC’s #1 contender in the 170-pound division, got absolutely Schultzed by Champion Georges St-Pierre. Fitch’s face looked like Asia Carrera’s face after a teabag session. Fitch, got his normal pay which is probably anywhere from $40,000-$120,000 and he also received a $60,000 bonus to go with this brutalized face. Was it worth it ? On three separate occasions, Fitch looked like he was knocked out only to regain consciences and get pummeled even more. The former Purdue star will go back to the drawing board and see what he can do to get to the top of the 170-pound division. Next on the table for GSP is a rematch with 155-pound Champ BJ Penn, which has match of the year written all over it.
It looks like Money Mayweather now has a reason to park in handicapped spots. Because he got laid out last Thursday night by former sparring partner Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry. According to Yahoo! Sports:
Say it ain’t so Floyd. MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that Floyd and fellow boxer Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry got into a fight at a Las Vegas club. Word on the street is that Edner was one of Floyd’s sparring partners and had a problem over some back pay. And that when he confronted Floyd in the club, the two got into it and Floyd ended up asleep. We put out word to Floyd’s peeps for a comment.
“Edner Cherry is 135 pounds,” Ellerbe said. “He’s going to come into a Las Vegas nightclub, knock Floyd out and live to tell about it? C’mon. That’s one of the most ridiculous rumors I’ve heard in 10 to 12 years. Floyd wasn’t involved in no fight.”
If there is one person that needs to be Schultzed it is Floyd Mayweather. Anybody that does something like this, needs a Brett Myers like beatdown. Mayweather is like the Yankees, someone or some team that you truly hate and root against. It could be a pay-per view juggernaut if this is true, and they fight in the ring. My money is that “Cherry Bomb” pops Mayweather’s cherry.
Forget about Anderson Silva being the best fighter in the world. The real best fighter is shown above, that is Fedor Emelianenko.This guy is straight from Rocky 4. He only has one career loss, and that was due to an illegal punch. As good as Silva maybe, Fedor is in a league of his own. Just watch his hightlights, he cannot be beaten. Would Fedor get caught in this ? I don’t think so.
It looks like Rampage Jackson is officially off the reservation, after he was pinched again yesterday. Earlier, Jackson, got arrested for taking cops on a wild police chase. Last night, it was because of his behavior that he may harm himself or others. According to TMZ:
Sources say last night an Irvine police car was waved down by people near the place Rampage was staying who said he was acting weird. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.
We’re told Irving cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation.
Cops won’t officially confirm if it’s a psychiatric hold.
Now, the life of Jackson is just getting sad. Not sure if all of this can be attributed to his title loss to Forrest Griffin. But certainly since his loss, Jackson has gone a bit Busey.
Former UFC Light-heavyweight Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, went a bit loco yesterday while drive his supped up truck in Costa Mesa, California. According to the OC Register:
Ultimate Fighting Championship brawler Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was arrested Tuesday after authorities say he plowed a pickup into several vehicles, crashed across a center divider and roared onto a sidewalk.
Police said the incident began about 1:30 p.m. when Jackson, an Irvine resident, crashed his truck into two cars near where the 55 freeway ends at 19th Street.
Over the course of the next couple of minutes, Jackson crashed again near 17th, swerved over a center divider and back again, and “at one point he went up on the sidewalk, causing pedestrians to dash out of the way,” said Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Dondero.
A motorcycle officer chased his car until Jackson stopped on the Balboa Peninsula, where he was arrested. By then, one of his tires had blown out and he was driving on a rim.
This has got to be the kind of media coverage that the UFC haswanted to garner. Its probably not the best news for the image of the UFC, but hey its not like he was in a strip club, bashing a stripper’s head off the stage. It doesn’t look like Drugs or Alcohol played a role in the chase. He may be getting prescribed some drugs after this. It just appears that Rampage, went on a Rampage. The wife of UFC legend Randy Couture, got beat worse than Wil Cordero’s wife. The sad part is that Kim did all of this for $1,000 according to MMAJunkie.com. This is like that game you play with your friends, when someone asks you would you let a guy bang you for Five Million dollars ? Is the money actually worth it ? Nope, and eventually you’re going to have to explain where that money came from. I wonder if Kim would do it all over again if she could ?
She was actually a very attractive woman, till these latest pictures came out. You can never look at her the same. It’s the Salma Hayek Rule. After Salma played Frida Kahlo, I could never be sexually turned on to her again. The same goes for Kim. She should of kept the wrestling to between the sheets with Randy, and saved that pretty face of hers. Kim, just because you sleep with Randy doesn’t mean you can fight like him. Maybe the WWE needs a new Diva.
