You Think Danny Ainge Is Still Sad He Didn’t Draft Robert Swift ?

Posted by Mike on October 1, 2008

The 23-year-old Robert Swift who came straight from High School to the NBA was said to be the apple of Danny Ainge’s eye in the NBA Draft of 2004. But thanks to the Seattle Supersonics, who ? They took Swift with the 12th pick in the draft, just three spots ahead of the Celtics who picked 15th, and with that pick they selected Al Jefferson. The Celtics later spun Jefferson with a package of players to Minnesota for Kevin Garnett, and the rest is history. The career of Swift has yet to take off, he missed the 2006 season due to a torn ACL, and he has yet to average more than 6pts a game, or more then 5 rebounds a game. Last year he only played in a total of 8 games, and for his career he has played a total of 71 games, that’s 11 less than the total games played in a regular season. The Celtics chances of winning a 17th banner with Swift, would have been as likely as my chances of landing a starring role on Gossip Girls. Also, it looks like the NBA lifestyle has turned out to be good for Swift. I love the nail polish!

On another note, was the smoke behind Darius Miles necessary ? Or was that self-induced smoke coming from Miles ? Who knows, he has been suspended for the first 10 games of the season due to taking some type of a phentermine.
